Stephen Norton

Stephen Norton was born in Derbyshire, England and educated at Bedford School where he was a Music Scholar. He was appointed Organist at Millhouses Methodist Church in Sheffield, England, where he subsequently became the Director of Music. After graduating from Sheffield in 2001, Stephen was Acting Organist and Choirmaster at St. Mary’s Parish Church, Hitchin. He conducted the choir of 15 boys and 18 adults for two choral services each week.

In 2002 Stephen moved to Munich to take up the appointment of Assistant Organist at the RC church of Hl. Kreuz in the suburb of Forstenried. He then became Acting Director of Music at the RC church of Maria Himmelfahrt in Allach and from 2004 to 2008 was the Director of Music for the RC Parish of Maria Trost in Untermenzing. From 2008 until 2013 Stephen was Assistant Organist at the RC church of Maria Himmelfahrt in Allach. In 2010 and 2011 he was also Guest Organist with the Paul Gerhardt Choir in Munich.  Since 2013, Stephen is “Artist in Residence” at the Anglican Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Munich.

Stephen conducts the Munich English Choir, which he founded in 2010.


Jeff Leipsic

Jeff Leipsic was born in New York. He studied under Carl Bamberger for his major in orchestral conducting at the Mannes College of Music, NYC and graduated as B.Sc. in 1970.    He subsequently taught music for five years in West Haven, Connecticut, while completing his Master of Music Education at the University of Connecticut.  Jeff has a passion for opera and has been publishing performance reviews in both German and English journals since 1979.  He now reviews performances in Munich and Bayreuth exclusively for Opera News, a publication of the Metropolitan Opera Guild, New York.  He has also held posts at the Bavarian State Radio in Munich.  Since 2004, Jeff is the Director of Music and Conductor at the Episcopal Anglican Church of the Ascension in Munich.

Jeff was appointed Associate Conductor of the Munich English Choir in 2017.


Christoph Hauser

Christoph Hauser, was born in the Allgaeu, Germany.  He studied piano with Gottfried Hefele and organ performance with Harald Feller at the University for Music and Theatre in Munich, passing the exam with distinction in 1996.  Christoph has taken master classes with many leading artists including Ben van Oosten, Ton Koopman, Guy Bovet and Pierre Pincemaille.  He has lectured at the University for Music in Munich and the Academy of Music at the Bavarian School for the Blind and performed in radio and television broadcasts.  

In 2005, Christoph was appointed conductor of the chamber choir NotaBene in Munich.  He was also Music Director of the Germering City Church in Bavaria.  Since 2014, Christoph is Director of Music and Organist of the world famous baroque "Fux" organ at the Fuerstenfeld Minster in Fuerstenfeldbruck.


Angela Metzger

Angela Metzger performs the whole range of organ music. Recent invitations have included the VaraĹždin Baroque Festival, the “orgel-mixturen” Cologne and works from composers Moritz Eggert, Dominik Susteck and Mark Andre.  She has played in Egypt, Israel, in the Philharmonie Essen, the Musashino Hall Tokyo, the Opera House Muscat and with the Gürzenich-Orchester in the Cologne Philharmonic and the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.  She is a prizewinner of many organ competitions and the ARD Competition. Angela has been awarded the Bayernwerk Cultural Award and the “Bayerischer Kunstförderpreis”.  She studied church music and organ with Edgar Krapp and Bernhard Haas at the University of Music in Munich. During the winter semester 2017/18, she taught as a substitute for Bernhard Haas. CD recordings are available on the labels rondeau, Solo Musica and Are-Verlag.
